Welcome to your quarterly newsletter!

This edition highlights our continued focus on celebrating our people, recognising milestones across the team, and sharing positive updates on how we support the participants we serve and our employees.

Recent participant activities have been a key focus, with the introduction of Monthly BBQs, Creative Connections, and another successful outing in the corporate box at the football. Planning is also well underway for upcoming events, including the 2026 Whale Watching Tour in August.

Internal and public recognition initiatives continue to highlight staff excellence across the organisation. This month, we farewelled one of our longest-serving team members from Ayr following 27 years of service. We also recognised Birgit for 15 years of service, and Jacob received our “Above and Beyond” award in acknowledgement of his advocacy and commitment to participants.

In other news, Supported Independent Living providers will be required to be formally registered by October 2026. As a registered provider, Access Support Services has confirmed that these changes will not impact operations, and we will continue to focus on delivering high-quality services.

The Fair Work Commission has also introduced a comprehensive classification restructure to the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS), effective from October 2027. This will result in adjustments to employee classification levels across the sector.

Finally, the organisation is transitioning to the ShiftCare platform for operational management and communications. This will streamline reporting and support continued compliance, transparency, and efficiency across the organisation.
